Relentless in the pursuit of artistic integrity, Adam Farouk has spent his almost two decades in the music industry studiously avoiding all but necessary contact with the music industry. This probably explains why you’ve likely never heard of him unless you’ve worked with him.
In this regard Adam can easily be considered “not a professional musician” in the strictest sense, as almost all commercial activities throughout his life as a grown-up (status arguable) have been focused in other directions, all far less interesting (status irrefutable). But it seems pertinent, at least to this writer--who is most certainly and absolutely not Adam Farouk--to question this assertion, that creative and musical pursuits might only count if recognized by a body-entity whose authority to do so is self-proclaimed and increasingly spurious.
For if a tree falls in an empty forest, does it make a sound? Answer: of course if bloody does. Just because someone can't hear something doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Stupid riddle. Anyway...
Let us pray.
Good. Did you enjoy it? Now. Ponder this:

We deserve better from our artists.
Better than what? Don’t pretend. We all know. I (meaning this writer, who, again, is absolutely probably not Adam Farouk) haven’t watched commercial television since the Boehner years and yet I’m still painfully aware of the state of commercial music and how far it has deviated from its purpose, privileged and inherent, of entertaining, enlightening, illuminating, and inspiring its listeners to be the most awesome they can be.
I believe this purpose to be self-evident.
If you have via some method procured the right to people hanging off of your every word (or lyric), then congratulations, you have inherited, from Lennon, Harrison, Jackson, Bowie, Nelson, Mercury, Frey, and countless others who took the job seriously before you, the responsibility to promote awesome in all you create.
We are here to bring back more than sexy. We bring back integrity, quality, awesomeness, rockin’-rollicking hip-humming soulful groove and light and life. True enlivened art, that inspires, and that participates in positive change.
This is a blend of music and story crafted over twenty years of experience, a blend of art that assumes humanity to be neither gullible, nor brainless, nor in need of pandering.
Music in particular cuts through the boundaries of language and rhetoric, and strikes at the heart of what we know deep down to be true: when a song is real to us, nothing more need matter.
Commercial entitlism has bred creative apathy in an industry once powerful as a force for social evolution. Seeking attention trumps seeking quality, and what starts to matter more than expressing the lifeforce of the world in you to others, and helping them see their own light within themselves, is the simple unquenchable need to be talked about, at all times, and it doesn’t matter a lick in what light.
No more. No need.
You deserve better from your artists.
And I am unwavering in this quest. I have been since the beginning, through the doubts, then the mockery, the attempts at undermining, the sabotage. I have come through this with untouchable commitment. I will not cease. For me. For you. For all involved.
Oh, and there have also been days when I'm triggered and I've had meltdowns. I've found myself in the looney bin more than once. Fun. But that’s another story #mentalillness.
Celebrate with me. Celebrate with all of us, the fact that music can be, in fact, that inherently it may be, among all the tools for positive change, arguably the most powerful. Celebrate the process of creation of an art that brings about wellbeing, that inspires and enlivens and illuminates as it entertains, that in its wake generates wave after wave of pure awesome.
A new generation of artists arises. We stand in unison in the name of authenticity and artistic integrity.
Stand with us, won't you?
